Just a word about Palouse Prairie Wholesome Grains...
You may find it convenient to boil and simmer  some of these products a few days in advance of making any given recipe. They keep very well 
when refrigerated and can then be added to the  recipe ingredients later. 
Peas and lentils do not need to be pre-soaked before cookng. Garbanzos (chickpeas), wheat and barley,( when using the product un-milled) are usually pre-soaked 6 or 8 hrs. before boiling to shorten cooking time.  We recommend rinsing  all the whole grains and legumes before using.  Palouse Prairie Wholesome Grains suggest storing these products in a cool,dry environment.
