At Palouse Prairie Wholesome Grains, we take great pride in how we carefully grow our wholesome grains and legumes. Our farm is located in the heart of the Palouse where the soil is considered one of the richest, most fertile soils in the world. We are proud to say that we practice no-till (or direct-seed) on our farm, which is a practice where grains and legumes are seeded directly into standing stubble. It has been proven that this type of practice greatly reduces erosion and supplies nutrients for the microbial life in the soil to ultimately give an abundant, healthy crop. Science has not been able to duplicate this natural fertility.
